well thats true to a point...... you can get win xp 64bit and use 2gig+, if you dont have win xp 64bit you only can have 2 gigs of mem that will show up

xp 32bit can take upto 4gb of ram but this includes gfx memory eg if you have a 500mb gfx card and 4gb of ram, only 3.5gb of ram will be operational
