but the problem is, it's always easier to improve on someone elses ideas than to come up with new ones. therefore this label isn't exactly showing how australia is coming out with anything fresh.

As Impact stated last time we both run original labels. I have been running Executive Records and Executive Digital for over 5 years now. We are up to EXE16 very shortly and Digital is now up to 46.
Recycled is purely something we have done for the love of the older styles and we have our other labels respectively for our original material.
Cheers,
Ben

i didn't state that you didn't have the ability to produce, i did however state that creating a remix doesn't show a true evaluation of skill hence a remix is just re-doing someone elses idea.

I am not sure what you are on about. As I didn't think you were suggesting that either. My comment was a direct correlation from this "Therefore this label isn't exactly showing how Australia is coming out with anything fresh."
So hence I’m suggesting if you want to hear another label that I am working on that is producing original stuff from Australia you can look at tracks from Executive and Executive Digital.
Thanks,
Ben

there might be a few remixes but it takes REAL TALENT to pull off a decent remix of a classic and Hazey, S3rl and a few of the other boys are really got that under their wing as well as some top notch original stuff as well.

I think type r has a point to some extent. Although Executive is releasing quality original tracks. The actual sound is not original. If your wondering what I mean about an original hardcore sound. Check out Milos myspace page. Was amazed at the uniqueness of some of the hardcore produced in the USA.
So many producers seem to just go with whats safe, which is not what hardcore is about.

how isnt it? they put on a range of styles on there from alot of differnt artists. from the cheesey voclas right into darker freeformy sounds and even bit of gabba (ie devil from sr3l). most labels just keep the the same ole sound every release

Yes there have been gabber and freeform releases on Executive, but every track still has a strong trance strings influence which has been done so many times before. They have never released a track without strings in at least some part of the track.
You look at labels like Lethal Theory, Notorious, Essential platinum, thin n crispy. They are willing to experiment so much more! You can have electro hardcore tracks, oldskool influenced tracks or just banging hardcore.
I've never heard executive experiment like these labels. I'm not saying Executive is'nt great label and the releases are'nt quality though. Because they are! They just are'nt groundbreaking.

Executive does though..
Look at the first track.. A side of the first vinyl release.. Has heavy Drum and Bass influences in a very very unique freeform track.. Or the 2ndr release, lost without you.. VERY VERY unique idea of sampling a certain christian song, ( a very good song too i might add ).. worked amazingly well for hardcore actually... Very unique samples and production, arrangement, really... And id defintiely say the other stuff is unique as well
