I can't remember how I came across Orbit1 but he has definitely put some good stuff into hardcore.
I believe that they only way to make it big in hardcore is to have your own style. Orbit1 has that with his sliced up vocals and acoustic guitar sound in some of his tracks

its all about the bounce and power in your tracks mate. full of energy which most hardcore lacks these days... i cant think of any hardcore that has the stomp factor apart from orbit1core

Unfortunately I don't know as much about music production as you do. But I can definitely recognise the individual styles that people have...just have trouble describing it sometimes

he's located in austrailia mate... he was sayin last night that he hasnt got any live set recordings as i asked him the same question.. he has 2 studio mixes on this site and that link i gave a few posts up
