I imagine it went into "retirement." A lot of CD series will do that. And then possibly spring back to life after several months or years.

I hope your right! Those Kev Energy mixes were the only CD's I felt like parting with my cash for. That's a real shame

Hardcore Heaven is quite the popular name for compilations. besides the one you speak of, there are also the live cd packs and that 1 that had only 2, which dougal did 1 of the mixes in the 1st 1 and darren styles did 1 of the mixes the 2nd one. i really liked those 2 albums a shame they didn't continue that one as well.

Yeah, good point mate. Had both those CD's. The green one & the orange one. They were absolutely wicked! I think the orange was mixed by Sy & Darren Styles & the green was by Breeze & Dougal.

I hope we see a return of these cd's as everything that comes out with the HH name always seems to be gold. Good old Slammin Vinyl!

Hardcore Heaven is an event thats been going since the early 90's - that is why there are so many tape packs, cds, vinyl and other stuff released by them, all the same company/PA whatever :)

Hardcore Heaven (the brand) is owned by Slammin Vinyl so they could release a CD anywhere they wanted to, AATW does not have the rights to the CD because Resist didn't have the rights to sell it, but that doesn't mean AATW can't get the rights from Slammin Vinyl.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Its just something that's been bugging me for a while now & I remember the last one came out, HH Vol 4, just after the 3rd HH weekender so it has been a while now!

I'm a huge fan of the HH series right from the early days of the first 5 Vols & I still listen to them from time to time. Everything that HH (slammin vinyl) seem to release is always good quality & with a fair bit of thought behind it. IMO they are the true sounds of English Hardcore & have always stayed true to the scene.

When you compare them to a lot of the s**t they churn out these days, they really are worlds apart & i'm starting to think that this may be a reason that they have held back over the past year or so.

Was listening to the Vinylgroover mix the other day in the car (it followed the awesome Scott Brown mix) and the mixing was awful. total trainwreck! Even the Vibes mix on CD 1 was better mixed than this disaster. It was a shame as the tunes themselves were awesome!

YUM!

http://www.discogs.com/label/Heaven+Music+Ltd

the first three were almost on a par with bonkers i guess speaking of which volume 1 would have been one of the first hardcore cds i heard...

i still remember the TV advert for volume 5 in 1998/9 it was a machine spitting out plastic hardcore heaven "H"'s on a conveyer belt whilst the songs were playing in the background..im still looking for the advert to this day!!!
