Basically. Sorry mate but thats all it is. No to very little beat-matching no structure in the transitions. Seems like a decent selection of tracks but i couldnt carry on listening because of the mixing. You need some practice, what are you using to mix?

yeah but i have to agree. beatmatching was way off, plus try to equalize the gains on the songs, the gain on the first song and the second song were WAY different. 2nd song was much louder.

But yeah before you release any mixes you should get beatmatching down.

Yeah, my headphones (American Audio) must suck... I don't hear it properly... This is an old mix, I used two Technics MK2 1200's and AA QD6... But the crazy thing is, my BPM Counter say 170.3 all the way through?!

don't rely on bpm counters. learn to mix without them...even if you do have the bpms matched you still have to bring the tunes in and out in appropriate measures.

yea those transitions were horrid. it almost sounded like a rankin track rather than attempted transition. and yea avoid bpm counters. the beats dont' necessarily have to match to make it sound good. i think that's what also made the whole mix sound really stiff to me

hey dude thanks for sharing!
, i enjoyed to song selection - some great tracks in there..

there was a bit of a trainwreck at
4:49 - sounds like you dropped it at the wrong point
and another at
11:00
this time its sounding like it was dropped at an odd point and the song isnt at the right tempo
and at 16:00
and at 21:45 - but it was dropped at the right place

its sounding to be honest like the songs arent at the same speed to begin with - which just takes practise, sell your BPM counters if they are separate..or if they are built in tape over them or somthing, you dont/shouldnt need them. like everyone else says, best to learn without them, it should all be in your head.

another thing is im not sure i really heard any attempt to keep the songs in time, some of the mixes would have stayed in time if you have given the vinyl a nudge to speed up the spindle a tweek to slow it down..

other than that just practise practise practise..

every mix needs a donna grassie vocal in it - so y'allright in my book :)
