What is football exactly? Is it suposed to be some kind of sport? It dosn't look like it the way the so called football 'fans' act & they words they use towards their favorite team when they don't score! 'Come on you ****, what you ****ing doing!' or 'you bastard, I could have scored that!'
I hate football. At school it went from being a game to a toment. In middle school I never played it, me & my mates had more fun chasing the girls & annoying the dinner ladies. There where boys that always played it though & sometimes there would be a casualty.
In secondary school all that changed! Being hard was the in thing & I remember one PE lesson very well in year 8 where all the boys in our class played all the boys in an other. One dick who I hated (turns out he ****ed a girl my sister hated in later years) got shitty with me because it seemed to be my falt that we lost in football. He told me to get back in defence (I didn't know what that was) & keep the ball away from the goal (OK I get that bit) but the other team are meant to get the ball past into our goal. Ok, the guy who got the ball past was a good player & so I didn't stand a frigging chance! Our goalie let the ball in but no one had a go at him (higher up the social ranks I guess) & I got given shit in the changing rooms for it. I told him next time I would play better but the dick told me that next time I won't play football! 
I hated that school & I avoided football since then. What is team spirit when no one wants you on their team anyway & when people jeer at you for loosing. No one rememberd that time I scored when the teacher (don't ask me why) let me shoot after a foal which one us the game. It was lucky but the guy in goal was popular so no one would remember it!  If I lost that im sure I would have got shit for it. 
The thing is it's not so much the game though & the fact I can't play it is like I said, the fans! You get these 'firms' who love their fighting buzzes & are convinced that there is no wrong in having a scrap over a peice of leather with air inside! It is not just kids im talking about here, im talking fully grown (often huge) men into their 50s who think it is cool to get into a fight over a ball!
You get these chav types who have all the gear (Buberry) & french crop hair cuts & tatoos of the team they 'support' & think they are proper lads! They are gay but at least they are fighting each other & not some random guy in the street!
However it isn't just unemployed chavs who are the firms. You get alot of these middle class types who think they are proper geezers for doing coke & that they are sorted for knowing the local badboys while they brag about their 'high paying' job in some boring office somewhere & having loads of money which they spend on coke, drink & expensive desinger clothes & train fare across the counrty to get intoa fight with another team & then go clubbing in that town & cause more trouble (as Leeds did to B'mouth back in 1990)
You get these 'Old School' types who think they are the god father to the firm & they have these ugly sluts for wives & think they still have it. Most of these are bold headed types who think they are real men because they can kneck pint after pint when they act like little boys talking about their firms latest beating of another firm (it is about firms, not football it seems). My ex boss was like that, he was a thug back in the day & thinks he i sa proper sorted gangster but veryone knows what a lonly bold dieckhead he really is. He used to like going to town (Birminham as he lived back then) and getting into a good few fights. He has scares from where someone bottled him! Everyone knows he is a coke head & I worked with him while he was high all the time!
Now the footballers... They get paid shit loads for kicking a peice of air inflated leather around & ge even more money if they 'cheat' on their popstar wives! Posh & Becks even got an Xmas speach on TV one year!  Then there is the words they use towards their team means 'come one you ****!' or 'you ****ing dick, score!!! Ahhh!!!' You hear that all the time down Branksome Rec on a Sunday. These might be fully grown men but they are just as childish as they boys from my school. I bet there is a bit of towel fun in the changing rooms after as well! Also their manegers annoy me as well who only manage the team beacsue they couldn't get a job ina corperate bamnk & talk on TV like they are geezers & how much they have passion for football which in reality, is just a buisness. There to make money...
Some say there is civic pride in football but no team has just members from it's own town! Unless your town or city has a big team it is always Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsnel or West Ham that seem to be the biggest.
National Pride does not exist in football as we (the English fans) have let ourselves down in the world by starting fights in other counrties. There is the silly Ebgland vers Scotland thing where I once heard how a man in Scotland beat up a child wearing an England T-shirt (English, Scottish & Welsh firms are all the same anyway & all have the chavs & knobhead types I just mentioned) also there is the silly England vers Gemany thing because of what happend over 60 years ago in the Second World War! In The Netherlands there hooligans have ruined the Dutch rave scene which was once the greatest in the world & as a result, no more Happy Gabber Even sunny Australia has hooligans & firms after biker & rebal types saw Europe firms fighting on youtube!
So I do not follow football & don't class it as a sport (people spend more time talking, aruging, fighting over it than watching) People seem to enjoy the fights more than the game so there is just no point! Why do they get paid so much anyway when people with real better jobs get less?

i dont like it either
it used to get in the way of good tv viewing on saturdays as a kid
and the horse racing used to get in the way too
even though i dont like it, playing or watching - i dont feel the need to post a big hate topic on it
if i did that about all the things i hate and dislike, this forum would be sooooo flooded haha

ill watch england play euro/world cup and qualifier and friendly games, the rest? (as in premiership, fa, etc) i couldn't give a damn about
it's not i hate football, i enjoy playing it a bit my self in the park, but the die hard premiership footyfans just do my head in, we all live in the UK, there's no need for hooligan fights. liverpool and everton are as bad as each other. so yeah, premiership is overated piss!

Football as in soccer is really begin to piss me off, over rated, over payed, whinging pisstakin fools - footballers and clubs just take the piss out of the fans. the national team is piss poor!
football as in NFL ****in love it. our football need to adopt some rules from this - the most proffesional sport on the planet!

negate the word douchebag it's a little too harsh didn't really mean it. and yea we do got a lot of sports on tv. but the difference is that we have channels that exclusively show sports. we also have certain time of the year (the baseball world series, superbowl, basketball) that interrupt from scheduled broadcasting. now as far as football (our soccer), it's not that popular here in the states so the only channels that really broadcast it are the spanish channels. but u can also buy channels that show only soccer.
but we all here basically kno what days are designated for what, and we have plenty of other options to choose from. plus if u don't like what's on tv then change the channel, turn the tv off and do something else, or put on a dvd

Sadly British TV is going downhill at the moment! We do have sports channels but that don't stop them going on about it on BBC1 & BBC2
Don't even get me started on Wimbledon...
