....anyway, where was I?
Once upon a time, in a land far far away, in a time long long into the future
and far beyond the wildest imaginings of mere mortals there was a
tree.
It was a very large tree, so large in fact that a passerby would not even recognise it as a tree at all.
So broad was it's base and so huge it's circumference that, presuming a passerby would think anything of it at all,
they would simply suppose it to be an outcrop of rock or the truncated end of a small escarpment.
This did not trouble the tree in the least as it had watched the passing of mere mortals since the beginning of time
and was perfectly content to grow and age and be.
Simply being held a deep satisfaction that all the running around and worrying and getting excited or depressed,
elated or saddened, filled with happiness or otherwise could not equal.
Being and reveling in the simple pleasure of existing had not at first come easily. Quite the contrary.
The initial thrill of sprouting from the ground and feeling the warmth of the Sun on it's very first shoots had been
extremely exhilarating.
The anticipation of the next pleasure was quite overwhelming, especially as it felt the pumping of the sap through it's still tightly curled buds.
....22:45 already? tut
