But they aren't the same track, if you would bother to listen.

I was going to buy the vinyl and out of curiosity I ventured over to the Evolution records site and clicked preview... that preview sounds rather different than what I heard in the second sample I provided (second link) that I heard in a DJ mix. So now I'm a bit wary.

dj's can manipuilate beats and alter the sound of music. dont go completely on how songs sound in mixes due to the reason stated :)

No no. If you listen to the sample you'll notice some sections are missing or shorter i.e. the release is cut in half.

maybe the preview was altered in order to showcase the best bits of the song. remember they want to advertise the entire song in 30 seconds

This.
They want to showcase what they think is good in the song, and leave out the intro and outro (Most of the time).

The one on Evolution is the original, whilst the other one you linked is Gammer's Muffin Mix, off Bonkers 16.
I'm almost certain, but don't quote me on it :p

It's listed in the HHC.com shop, as well as imorecords.com among others, but they all seem to be out of stock on it ;p The catalogue number is Evolve003, have a look around, maybe you'll find it somewhere.
