Right well ive heard a few tracks knocking about now using melodies and sounds from old computer games. IE Chaos - Mariocore....
So how would i go about making something like this myself? What im after really is a synth that can recreate the same sound used for the melody rather than sampling it or whatever. Anybody know?

Also i could do with getting a few random noise samples from a game. Anyone know where i could find some? Im after the noise made in Sonic The Hedgehog when he collects a ring and maybe a few other bits and pieces. Trying to put together a remix of Sonic if you hadnt guessed :p
