i'd like 2 know that too. and if anyone saw the lighting of the cauldron for the opening ceremony, the saucer that contained the olympic flame got stuck for about 3 minutes!

wait i think i just saw it. is it where they are chasing that guy on a jeep-looking thing, and all of a sudden he crashed in2 1 of the speakers "by accident" apparently?

and i didn't know that it was a prank. the canadian commentators that were in the video said that it was part of the show, they were trying 2 lighten up the crowd at the beginning

organised prank/part of the show. ssds. no one was expecting it. maybe prank was the wrong word. started off when a guy got up to speak and the bloke ran over a corner of the stage (if i remember correctly). for all intents and purposes it was a prank.

it's a good thing that some members on youtube put the whole opening/closing ceremonies on the site because watching some of these now I don't remember them like i did when i first watched them. except maybe the athens opening they're still kinda boring

but i remember i thought atlanta openings was badass back in 1996, and now i didn't even kno they had a bigass cheerleading thing, which i thought was pretty gay. and it was a little overtheatrical with all the opera singin throughout the butterfly scene. and a little too much gospel it made it too religious looking
