Im wanting to get some cd decks but im totally clueless when it comes to them.
i know with vinyl decks u need an amp, do you with cd/mp3 decks? If you do can you get one without?

you need an amp if your chosen speakers / monitors are passive, if you have active speakers then you will not need an external amplifier.

I cant find any... Can they just be plugged into a stereo rather than an amp?

it would probably be false economy if you are going to use it a lot, most dj gear in that price range usually falls to pieces after a year or so, if you want it to last spend a few more pennies and get a decent brand, second hand, if its just a set of decks to mess about on for something to do then id probably go with something cheap like what you linked

i'd recommend numark axis9's, about the same price as the cdj 100's & they got a ton more features
i suppose going on reliability pioneer's will always be reccomended to you over most others but personally ive had absolutely no problems with the axis9's and have read pretty much nothing but great reviews of them. great cd decks if your just starting out!

while they're good, they are going to be more expensive that CDJ100's what sort of budget are you on?

Well tbh im gettin a compo cheque for £3500 in a few weeks. Im just guna keep an eye on ebay. Just sin sum numark arcs for £175 with a mixer
