I havent seen it yet due to being forced to go out and get wasted..watching the making of now on Dave +1. Are the episodes really that dreary? The way they look reminds me of the overly done make up from series 7. And if theres no laughter track it will remind me even more of series 7. (the worst series imo)

Finally watched them on YT.
Was very.....Meh!
Really didnt like the storyline of the episodes they could of come up with something ALOT better it is Sci-fi after all!!
There were a few funny moments, the laughter track would of brightend it up a bit. Was good to see the boys back on tv but i dunno it did feel alot like series 7, trying to be too serious like a drama/comedy instead of just pure comedy.
Red dwarf is supposed to be silly!

Reminded me of what happpend with the Only fools episode where they were millionares. Maybe the bad reviews will give them a kick up the arse like it did with john sullivan and hopefully they'll do a few more episodes with the classic Red Dwarf feel.....

Oh well il still probably get the dvd when it comes out, il always be a dwarfer!!!!

Edit: Also where the fcuk was the story behind them getting out of the "Only the good" ending from series 8!!! It wasnt even mentioned!

I was pleased they avoid using laughter made it more real and raw, A better ending than the last several series barring Rimmerland, I guessed within the first episode it would be the despair squid, but hey if the formula works. I think it ties up nicely if they really want to leave it there.

Looked forward to it for ages, was really disappointing. The writing was terrible and you see it had been "Doctor Who'd" (another program that I hate for its poor acting and poor production).

The whole thing with them going to Corrie was stupid, they shouldn't have bothered at all. It was a massive cop-out.
