Hey, I've been eyeing the Alesis Micron Synthesizer for a little while now, and I'm thinking about buying it. Does anyone have any good things to say about it, or even some bad stories? I'm thinking about trading my Axiom 49 in so I can afford it, since I'm not too please with the Axiom 49 itself. Guitar Center also has a bangin' deal on trade-ins right now as well. Here's a link to the Alesis Micron:

I've heard that the Alesis Micron is a lot better than the Micro Korg, though... They're both the same price right now, so it's a hard to make a decision here.

Do you have a lot of music production hardware like other keyboards, synths, drum machines, etc.? A small synth like this... I really wouldn't recommend getting if you're relatively new to music production. For beginners or those even without a vast knowledge of MIDI hardware and recording audio, hardware synths are just a complete disaster. The money would be better spent on a soft synth which would be a lot more flexible than a hardware synth.

Synths I would recommend investing in:

Cakewalk z3ta+
LennarDigital Sylenth1
Native Instruments Komplete Synths (Absynth 4, FM-8, Massive, Pro-53)
Novation V-Station
Tone2 Gladiator 2
