Hardcore Breaks is 140-150 BPM and sounds pretty old skool-ish.
Reese makes teh breakbeat hardcore.

I don't get the sense of it. Hardcore Breaks is supposed to be the new Breakbeat Hardcore. It's the same speed and also sounds like Breakbeat Hardcore, but it's made with new technologies. So why is there a new Breakbeat Hardcore, which is 1. Not as the same speed als Old Skool Breakbeat Hardcore 2. Doesn't sound Old Skoolish at all ( or almost never ) 3. There's is already new Breakbeat Hardcore, called Hardcore Breaks !!
That's annoying me, isn't there any other name for it ?

if it confuses you then call hardcore breaks nu skool breaks
they also didn't really call old school hardcore 'breakbeat hardcore'...more so rave, jungle techno, or just hardcore

I hope that's a joke. :P Nu-Skool Breaks is a completely different genre but I'm sure you knew that already?

I like the new breakbeat hardcore. But I just wish it was faster like the oldskool stuff.
You can't mix the new hardcore breaks with todays hardcore as it's just too slow. Is about hard dance speed.
Not like the old days when you could start a set with tracks Luna C Breakbeat hardcore and finish it with Scott Brown banging hardcore.

I'd stop worrying about as the names aren't going to change. People have been referring to Hardcore Breaks and Breakbeat Hardcore for years even if it is confusing to some.
It does get more complicated when tunes are about the 160 bpm mark - are they Hardcore Breaks or Breakbeat Hardcore. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter.
I prefer the slower tempo of Hardcore Breaks compared to the 175 bpm of modern Hardcore and D&B. In fact the average BPM of Hardcore Breaks tracks has actually decreased over the last few years. If you really want to do sets that cover Hardcore Breaks, Breakbeat Hardcore, D&B and UK Hardcore then get hold of Luna-C's DJ Tools which has some useful transition tracks.

If you're talking about new Breakbeat Hardcore, it is at the same speed as normal Hardcore. Well I think you were talking about Hardcore Breaks, cause first you said you like the New BBHC, and then you said you can't mix it with normal Hardcore and you talked about Hardcore Breaks after that. You mean Hardcore Breaks are too slow, right ? Not new BBHC.
Thx for the set, I'm going to download it, I hope it's some new BBHC cause I need more of that shit :)
Oh and btw, does anyone know where I can find new BBHC ?

Ye but what i mean is if hes trying to pigeon-holew it the correct title would be just Breakbeat Hardcore.
