Has anybody tried these cash for your old mobile things which have been on TV? They show that they could give you £100 so i thought i would try it out. Firstly i have an old motorola phone which is about 3 years old. They offered me £1.50 lol. I tried with my Sony / Ericsson which is about 8 - 9 months old. Cost between £250 - £300. They offered me £6.50 lmao. I was expecting around £10 - £15 for my Motorola but the Sony / Ericsson i could probably sell for at least £50. It's only a few months old.

I recently tried putting my Sony Ericsson k800i up just for the laugh.

ive never used them, but what i really want to know...is what THEY get out of it
i mean, if they want to give me money for my mobile...they must be making a larger profit on it, or it wouldnt be worth their trouble...
...so what are they doing, so that i can go do it, and cut out the middleman!

They recycle/refurbish phones - that's how they make money out of it.
Can get decent amounts for phones that are fairly recent and in good nick but plenty of places will give you more - especially when you trade them in.

I usually just use the mobile untill its broken, and then buy a new one.

Same. My mobile is ****ing ancient but it still makes calls and sends texts so why would I get a new one? Much better things out there to be spending my money on. 8-)
