.....Into the future for AMOLED TV's to come out.

I didn't decide to rush out, sell a kidney, and put my self in debt; by buying the most expensive HD Ready LCD TV i could find back in 2002.
^^LIKE.......99.9% of the general....western population.

I also didn't....anywhere near.....have the money.....back then.
As i was only 18 in 2002, which i'm happy about because it means i was Young once apon a time.

This is MY Current TV, don't ****ing laugh!!

This is AMOLED, from samsung.

And This was the TV.........................................
..............That i had for a while, on loan, from the Red Cross Homeless Shelter...........
.

Should i wait a while for AMOLED to properlly come out, and develop, or rush out and by LCD that that will prob be obsolete by 2020.

Tell me what you think??

In a way you're right because there are people that must buy the latest thing regardless of price. But for every nutter who rushes out to buy something, there's another who genuinely wants it and will keep it for as long as possible.

Everything comes down in price eventually so these 'suckers' you speak of aren't doing anything wrong by buying what they feel is right at the time.

My plasma TV was expensive and you can get equivalent models a fair bit cheaper now. BUT, i have no intention of changing it for the next big thing - it'll do me for a good few years yet.

unless there is a significant improvment in picture quality i don't see what the big ooo aarrr is about, they are "wow" thin but lcd and plasma are as small as you practically need them to be in most situations, if i had a big plasma i certainly wouldnt by unhappy right now

I'm not a big fan of running out and buying the latest, greatest tech generally. My dad's another story though. That man is the biggest technophile I've ever seen. A few years ago he went out and bought the biggest Plasma TV available, and when they came out with one that was just 2 inches bigger, he went out and got that to replace it!

Fair does though... I got the old one! :D

dont quote me on this but i think the big thing about OLED tvs is how long they last, the brightness, and the minimal power consumption..

Actually the displays stand will still have to be the same size, so basicly you dont win anything by the size. Unöess you mount it to the wall of course, but even then its more cosmetic then anything.

Anyway i dont have a TV and the 92" screen my projector uses is like 1mm thick, dont think that amoled TV can beat that :P
