I am looking for a place to legally purchase/download the shooting star remix that is played on the radio every now and then. it starts off with the chorus rather than the first verse

i am looking for the longest (time wise) of this version for legal purchase in mp3 or CD format

That's not exactly a remix. It's the Euro mix from the original 12"

thanks for the info guys that helped out, though i wasn't able to find an mp3 or cd for sale. If I do i could post it on here for anyone interested in the future.

I was under the impression that Nick didn't own the rights to that track anymore. You have to contact his old publisher for information about covering, remixing, etc.
