I think that has to do with the timestretch algorithm in some of the old samplers. I've gotten good results in adobe audition by trying out the different types of timestretch. The ones in Cubase are pretty good too(which is what I use personally).

Do you happen to know how I can timestretch in cubase where cubase will allow the key to follow the speed?
Like... how I can turn off master tempo in cubase.
basically i want the track to achieve chipmunk status. and not stay the same as original.

but i also want my track at 180bpm.
is there a one time process in cubase that allows me to do that? i mean, it'll be kind of wack if cubase timestretch doesn't allow stretching with master tempo off...

i usually use adobe audition to timestrech or edit vocals.. not that i cant in FL Studio but it just comes out better in adobe audition ^^

to be honest if your using fruity then you got one of the best time stretching algorhythms
if your having problems chop the vocal smaller
