Is it just me or is anyone else getting bored s**tless with all this stuttered vocal malarkey?
Don't get me wrong, it can be used to great effect if not over used & done correctly but, doesn't it seem like every vocal hardcore track that comes out these days has a part where the producer goes a bit too far with the stuttered vocals?
as an idea I think its now taking the music a step backwards because its getting to be completely soulless & is killing the energy & flow of the beat & bassline IMO.
What does everyone else think of this?

Can you give me an example or two?
thats one of his newer ones, but he's been stuttering since 1999...pioneer in too many aspects, covered countless genre's of music from Hip Hop to Trance, From Big Beat to Ambient....from Rock to Classical ..from film scores, to video game scores....he blows william orbit out of the water
his latest album which was chillout, was specifically written in 7.1 surround sound

Here's one I know has a lot of stuttering off the top of my head & no disrespect to Jamie Ritmen here in anyway.
Hes a sound guy & has played on my station a fair few times now but this is a good example of stuttered vocals. Also, not just stuttered but adjusting the notes of the stutter also.
Just wandered what everyone thought about this. Its getting a bit over done IMO
@ Triquatra: I've got great respect for BT. Flaming June is one of my favorite old trance tracks. Haven't heard much of the newer stuff though. I'll check these vids out. thanx ; )
I suppose everything will get old after so many uses but I think its time we go back to more basic melodies & concentrate more on the beat & bassline driving the track

i agree, when who ever it is changes the key of the stuttered vocal, it can sound especially terrible.
used for a bar or two it's okay, used for a whole breakdown, not okay.
it's the same with the bitcrusher effect. TOO MUCH!!
