EVERYTHING is on there..
my music, fruity, all my older files and stuff too...
i think my hard drives crashed and my PC doesnt detect it and can't boot from it.
On a normal startup, It would get to the green vista bar loading, then go to a blue screen..
on the repair screen, none of the 'solutions' are a solution. It cant load the HDD drivers, and therefore cannot do any form of diagnostics, fix, recovery or format.. :(
it's getting me depressed :(
anyone got any ideas? and yeah, i tried freezing it...

thats not cool
get the hard drive out, slap it into an external enclosure, get it to another computer
get your data copied off - #1 thing to do!
then you can start fixing the problem with no worrys
**edit**
if you want to be shiney and feel geeky, you could also make a live cd, like "windows PE"
windows preboot enviroment, which in short is a cd you put in before the computer has even booted, and boot and run an OS direct from the cd - it loads its own OS which if you do windows PE, looks just like windows, then you can saved your data across to an external hard drive....or flash drive...

i have a huge folder full of dvds, that has everything backed up on it, i do backups of "my documents" every so often, i never go for longer than 6 months without backing up photos and the rest of my files.
your data isnt lost, its still there, but like i said, i recomment you get it off using one of those (or other) methods, before you start fixing it - you'll feel much better once the vital stuff is all backed up. i'd help out if i was there...:(

yup :)
external enclosure will cost you about £10 make sure you get the right one though, your hard drive is either going to be IDE (grey ribbon controller) or SATA (thin red or black cable)
once you got it in an enclosure you can just usb it into another pc, and use it as an external hard drive, get your stuff off, put it back in, then you can work on the problem...
