I am very happy the bonkers brand, I know that a lot of you is not happy with the way AATW is going with it. The way I see it, if it AATW did not buy the bonkers brand, the Bonkers brand will be dead and I dont what that to happen. The clubland albums very big, not just the hardcore series. AATW is trying to market the Bonkers brand to those who buy the Clubland Albums. You can tell this from the advert and the tracking listing. You can only see this as a good thing for hardcore scene. If this sells well, then other albums will follow soon not just from AATW.

Why does this have to sell well to make a path for future albums. The thing is, if AATW only focuses on on sound of Hardcore, when they release something new, it will be discarded by the crowd who has come to love the previous sound and knows what to expect. I would like to see another album from Ministry of Sound. The Helter Skelter series was decent, especially the 1st 3 in the series, and also Hardcore Euphoria!

im still waiting for the album to be released so i can listen to it and give an opinion,

...

but you cant really say "You can only see this as a good thing for hardcore scene"

and as for other albums, AATW arent saving the hardcore scene by releasing albums, other companys are still doing it, and when bonkers stopped being made, albums were coming out in the same frequency as they were before, which was a good amount..so its not really changing anything.

im pretty grumpy right now, would have been nice have sharkey on the adverts...

I prefered Bonkers before it was all commercially aimed, after seeing the advert i feel like when i get my copy home its going to smell of cheap chav perfume..
i hope the music contained therin doesnt dissapoint...

There are a few good tracks on Unknown's mix, though I dont know how good his mixing is by himself.

I though people were wile'ing out when Sharkey played the JAOTW remix at Freeformation?! Nothing in that clip is special imo.

Better to be dead than dead and buried!

Musically, a lot of that isn't so bad - can always rely on Sharkey's sets for quality, there are some brilliant (but old) tunes on Hixxy's mix. And even Unknown's has a few decent tracks.

Still seems wrong though!

And if that is the final artwork for the back of the case i see they haven't bothered getting rid of the mistakes.

Who is this Scotland rules chap? He just came along as this album is getting ready for a rlease, plugged it in a few threads and seemingly has nothing but good (if slightly misinformed/ignorant) things to say about the album...... An AATW spy perhaps? Hmmmm.

Sharkey's mix sounds like I could get into it. The Unknown mix sounds rather stale but one or two tunes sound ok. Hixxy's mix is old skool. I mean all the tunes are old (5 years old) ones (sadly no real Old Skool 90s tunes) but what would you expect? Hixxy hasn't made a good tune since 1996 so I didn't expect him to do a great mix on Bonkers lol (except his Bonkers 13 & Best of Bonkers mixes which where real Old Skool)

I might buy it...

First couple that jumped out at me -

CLSM - Set your body free? Erm.... the only people who know it as that are the ones who downloaded it illegally! it's the Darren Styles mix of Free your mind
CLSM - See you on the other? Side perhaps?

No mention of which mixes on the Hixxy CD - certainly not all the originals.
Sure there are more if i wanted to find them

well that's stupid. why would you keep an album that might slowly be turning to shit just for the sake of it being there? do television shows keep on running even if they produce no ratings? no they don't

I'm all for trying to keep Bonkers alive, but not at the cost of deteriorating quality. I would rather see Bonker's era end on a good note rather than have no one miss it when it's gone because it's been brutally mutilated
