Yea, and i vent about my job a lot too, eventhough i dont hate it. Just because he does it on a forum, doesnt change anything compared to if he did it in person.

I wasnt even thinking about poverty when i wrote that. I assume you have some idea of Rwanda's and RSA's history? (i just chose RSA off the top of my head, not for any particular reason over the other african countries). For women in those countries, rape is a fact of life. If you havent been raped yet then you probably will soon. If you have been raped then you will probably get raped again soon. The HIV rate is inconceivable to anyone living in the developed world. The amount of parentless, homeless children will blow your and my mind. And yet they, who have real reason for depression live in hope that tomorrow will bring help.
Are you saying that rape and crime victims is a major factor in depression? I think were talking two very diffrent things. Rape victims get depressed even suicidal, but the amount of victims of rape compared to overall depressed people is small. But if it is the prime cause, rate Australia up there, its not far behind South Africa in rape cases: http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_rap_percap-crime-rapes-per-capita Does that mean i should not whine about small things, because at least i'm not living in Australia? ;) (that was a joke by the way, i am well aware that many assaults in SA are unreported.)
As far as Rwanda goes, it had nothing to do with depression or anything like that. It was a result of Belgiums policies while it was under their control. Fueled by the selfish western countries that could have stopped it before it even started. It was a catastrophic example of "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.".

wow. thats eye opening. I knew it was high in Australia, but i didnt realise how high.
I'll give you benefit of the doubt on this next bit, but i wont further down. Your misinterpreting what i said. I didnt say that the Rwandan genocide was caused by depression. I'm saying that given the state it has left the country in, how the people there manage to still find hope - or hope to find hope (causal loop), is beyond me - but yet they do.

You know there is probably a reason why i highlighted the BUT I AM JUST SO DEPRESSED BY MY JOB part and not the "and must vent" part. If your going to argue with me, argue my point, not something irrelevant. as for
quote:Also saying that someone else has it worse is just plain moronic. For one depression is not always caused by something, some people get really depressed, and there is no cure for it. You cant say to a person with DID to stop creating diffrent personalities. It doesnt work like that.
is completely unrelated. We are talking about depression not DID, they are two completely different things, and you cant use one to back up the other. No, depression does not always have an outside factor, it is sometimes caused by chemical imbalances - but rarely. This case - if it indeed is depression - wasnt caused by chemical imbalances, but by his job, which just so happens to be an outside factor. And therefore curable. (I sound like a cold bastard saying this but otherwise i'l start getting angry. Depression is a terrible disease for the individual and all those close to them, but history shows us time and time again that it is curable, for which I thank God).
If your going to play me, at least make it worthwhile and argue against my point. I normally agree with you, whispering, but this time your all over the place and not getting anywhere. Iv already said that i think he's crying because he's got no one to suck his dick for him. Dont insult the people who actually suffer from the absolutely horrible disease depression is by going emo on us and calling ti depression. - Im getting angry now, time for a rest.
