sorry vitalism but yes you have been screwed over. it's not a coincident that the acct that the paypal acct was attached to is all of a sudden empty, especially if you gave out a large sum of $$$
as stated before, yes out of country purchases are a risk, especially if they come from 3rd and 2nd world countries. buet you can even get screwed over by a seller in a prominent country, even your own country
was there any insurance offered for such a large purchase? and part of the problem of the problem with paypal now is that ebay has complete ownership of it now. you used to have to go dispute it with ebay 1st, and they used to successfully return ur money.
it does suck that you are out of so much, but as a fair warning to you and others, don't make any more large purchases and if you do, request insurance with the buyer, if offered, and additional insurance with paypal
o and don't be concerned about soiling the person's name. no action will come of it if you do, just the possibility that they'll come on and rant on here. but actually, that would probably be preferred that way you at least hear something from him

i'm waiting on a response to the last email i sent. there's either a perfectly good explanation, or it's a big scam.
trust me, i wanna tell the person's name so bad, but if i do and then he/she comes through, i'd be in shit and feel like more of a jackass than i do now.
the reason the money was withdrawn was because the person i bought them off of obviously needed the money right? so naturally it would have been withdrawn from the paypal account. that alone doesn't mean it was a scam, latinxtc.
i'm hold off on the slander for now, but trust me, in due time, if it turns out badly, i'll make sure to make it my prerogative to trash this person thoroughly

Thought you'd said you'd been told they were sent a long time but since found out they weren't? How much more proof do you need that you've been screwed (or at the very least messed about more than anybody should ever have to put up with).
You can only give the benefit of the doubt so much!
