over the past few years i've thrown money in all sorts of stupid places, i remember the first paycheque i got when i was 15 or somthing...£200 which to me was a ton of money!
i went straight out and bought a rubber dinghy, a mini-bike and a unicycle

i still ride the unicycle around on nice days...though im on my second one now (sold the last before i moved to the US) no idea what happened to the minibike...and i think i burst the boat.
at the moment, im resisting the temptation to buy up the toys i used to have as a kid on ebay! (ice planet/space police lego, space precinct flying police car etc etc haha)

anybody else got any crazy impulse buys? walked into a shop bought somthing you thought you "must have" but really really really didnt need?

Triquatra that is possibly the most random buy i've ever heard of. The only thing more amusing is that you actually learned to ride the unicycle! Most people would have given up the next day i think.

I still have my legos somewhere. Have a somewhat complete city, with police station, firestation, cargo train, etc.

lol those are some nice impulse buys

I rationalize things too much and never seem to have impulse buys...it usually takes me weeks to months to make a purchase.

only must have items for me these days are video games...which I usually know more about than the person behind the counter selling me the game and have had to explain things to parents in the store about certain games when I'm not even an employee =P

although I still am thinking about buying all the garbage pail kids I had as a child

an xbox ($500)
a laptop ($2000)
a bike ($5500)

mind you i dont regret any of them. the bike was only really an impulse as it was the only one i looked at and instead of shopping around. I could have got a much better deal than i did.
