Crap in comparrison to some of the older tracks.
For Example, I have just bought and discovered the Journey's Greatest Hits Live Album,
One of my Fav Tracks is "Escape".
....Compare that track to "The Hoosiers" "Worried about ray".....
DOES NOT EVEN COMPARE......THE HOOSIERS DONT EVEN COMPARE TO JOURNEY.
Seriously some bands these days just need to Fvck-off and stop making music.

Notice how the Hoosiers have no ingenuity in writing lyrics, they basically repeat the same set of lyrics and guitar-riff OVER AND OVER AGAIN with no creative licence, skill, or spirit.
They are bull5hi7-munching.
I sometimes feel let down by the rock from my generation.

Agreed that the genius of Dookie will take some beating mate but the new album really is rather good if given a chance.

very silly thread. you're listening to indie. its simple and unimaginative.. another example is the kaiser chiefs. your listening to the plain and simple mate, which is ammo for your thread..
listen to some feeder, and you'll find not all new music is as bad as you said.

Does Indie Purely Mean "Independant Label" or has is evolved to mean something completely different entirely?

indie was short for independent. Now everyone uses it to describe a sound thats LIKE that.
Greenday are far from indie though.
