Another example of some showbiz reporter commenting on something they know nothing about.

I think this has nothing to do with the Hardcore we listen to, but with Hardcore Punk Rock or something like that.
Anyway, looks like shit, and there's no "Hardcore" Drum & Bass, anything close to it would be Breakbeat Hardcore, Hardstep/Darkstep DnB or Breakcore. Which is absolutely wicked.

Hardcore D&B? What is that?
EDIT
"Do you see another change in direction as there was from Hold Your Colour to In Silico?
Definitely. This next record is going to be less focused on rock, and more focused on epic, dramatic drum 'n' bass, electro and dubstep. "
Oh ffs.

I dont think the article is saying its Hardcore DNB as in hardcore dance music.
It must be refereing as someone else said a hardcore punk side to their dnb.
Pendulum do have some decent tunes out there, their first album was good, shame about the second which went a bit rockish.

It is generally mate, they do slower stuff too but if you look at it as 'accessible' Drum n Bass you won't be far off the mark.

I first heard of Pendulum when they released Vault in 2003 but they've just got far too commercial for me now. They have released some really good stuff but their newer stuff ain't anything special.
