ROTFL

pretty much every record off vital element
no trix had some good ones (especially the rough breaks crew - deconstruction)
midas - break on thru (dhss remix)
dhss - the message
look up most things by hattrixx (my angel remix, piano confusion remix, etc.)
dave skywalker has some good releases (check out the premier process)

I can't recommend kfa records enough, yes it does have old school sounding stuff on there but it's one of the few labels that consitantly delivers every release

Yeah I know it's good but I cannot mix Hard new stuff from Reese with old-sounding cheesy tunes from KFA... I don't want this cheesy stuff, even if it's new, it sounds old, and it doesn't even have a proper bassline. I prefer the new, solid Breaks, that almost sound like Drum & Bass. I want something FAT!! But thanks I'll check out those ones

Why not get some D&B? Liquid D&B sounds great mixed with Breakbeat Hardcore.

Yeah I do but I also want Breaks. Piano, pitched-up vocals, happy melody etc are missing in Drum & Bass.

Sounds good mate, I like it. But still a bit Oldskoolish. I might get some of these anyway, thanks!

I absolutely love this one : http://moas.co.uk/audio/Darwin-Ready_for_love-Clip.mp3

Of course it has oldskool elements but it's all made with new technologies so it sounds new & fresh

That's everything that makes up Old Skool though. Breaks, Pianos, pitched-up vocals, happy melody is what Old Skool was all about lol

Yes indeed, but that's not what I wanted to say. I mean the production style sounds oldskoolish. It doesn't sounds like it was made with new technologies. It sounds.. a bit old, see what I mean ? Old instruments, etc..

I'm gonna start making my own Breaks =]

If you like that, you'll *love* "Y Don't U"

It is featured incredibly briefly at the start of the 3rd Next Gen podcast, and an incoming album

kfa specific titles

panacea - lawless
panacea - wintermute
panacea - thrones and dominions

yup definitely soft old school sounding =P

from the sounds of it what you're after...you're better off looking in the d&b section and finding hardcore stabs there. there really isn't a big demand on hardcore labels for hard breakbeats, they usually get signed to d&b labels.
