I decided to start hosting videos on You Tube of songs I couldn't find that where new, and that I bought.

And today after I hosted a song called: Gato Means Cat, the Artist replied and messaged me thanking me for putting it up for him.

When I saw the artists name, I thought they where gonna ask me to take it down (As some record companies force onto people).

Figured this forum could use something instead of boobs, video games, and meat loving (Sounds gay..)

Here's the video if anyone cares:

Felt like I helped an artist get his music out, or something.

There's more to life than boobs, games and meat? GTFO!

Wouldn't have expected the original artist to thank you, most artists - or more likely record companies - take them down don't they? Try putting any track up of a big name and it will almost certainly be taken down. I put a track by Calvin Harris up before it was released and it was taken down within the week i think and i was threatend with being banned from youtube! C*nts! Anyway, why didn't the artist upload the tune himself? If i ever releasesd a tune i'd be shamlessly plugging it everywhere.

Youtube is always terrible quality audio. Surely this makes it a perfect place to get people to hear your stuff and then want to buy in good quality...

Saying that though i went to a party where the host was picking tunes of youtube and playing them through his (piss poor) surround sound. Not Cool.

I put it up the day it came out on You Tube.

Record company could of told him not to put it up yet, and I did it before him? Not sure.

Oh yeah, and after he wrote that the record company on You Tube sent me a friend's request.

I don't if you noticed, but YouTube has a HQ option. Or you can just add &fmt=18 at the end of the URL, and it will be in the quality it was uploaded. Which means if the track was uploaded in High Quality, with the option HQ/&fmt=18, you will hear the song in High Quality. If the song was upped in shit quality, the HQ button won't help..
