so.. ive been reading here a lot of give the up nd coming more chances.. this shud be changed.. that shud be changed.. we need to do more criticising producing of eachother help eachother out etc etc...

so my question is ...

when there are young new producers who release tracks on internet label (as their beeing launched a lot lately), do you guys even consider buying them? as their new and unknown, sometimes no 100% up to what the 'bigger artists' produce...

what you ppl's view on these kinda artists / labels?

If I like the tune I would be happy to buy it but people need to promote their stuff to get it heard.

Im an up and coming producer but my tune is only 25% done so I aint doing much with that yet.

Tbh, the majority of the Hardcore pumped out on the majority of digital "labels" is pure horseshite and i wouldn't waste my £0.99 on the garbage. However i do come accross a track that i really like once in a while (a long while) and buy the .WAV without hesitation. It takes a lot to troul through all the shit though and recently i've stopped buying any new download releases and even records. But when i do buy a digital release i'll listen to all the tracks on Juno's new releases and buy waht sounds good, regardless of whether the artist or label is relatively unheard of, no artist or label gets preferential treatment or bias - well maybe NSR just a little, gotta support redwingz. The lads from Bolton, can't be easy for him ;).

Meathead is right, it isn’t easy for me, Bolton is a tough place and digi-labels are 10 a penny. IMO if you are signed to a label that’s only aim is to be a digi-label then your profile as an artist will never be that high and you will never get sufficient exposure to be heard by enough people. You can produce the best track in the world and stick it on IMO, but if you are promoted well then it wont sell more than 10 copies cause nobody will hear it. I listen to a lot of hardcore, more now than I ever have and the quality of tracks on places like IMO can be very poor, but you can also unearth the odd gem.

For a DJ wanting to be different and play fresh tunes that make the crowd say ‘Wow, this guy aint afraid to play something different and it works’ I think you have to trawl IMO and Juno etc otherwise you will just buy the same music that everyone else is.

The amount of new hardcore coming out is healthy for the scene, but a lot of it is not upto scratch. Digi-labels have a bad reputation because of the crap that’s out there which is why I am trying to do CDs and maybe vinyl too.
