Hi every1,

Ive got a collection of Happy Hardcore records from 1994-1996, most of which are from 1995! Im thinking of selling them. Im just wondering if any of them are worth any money??? Im not sure of the current Happy Hardcore scene or demand for these records cos I have not listened to it since 1996. I have pretty much all the biggest choons from this time. Could you name some that might be worth anything and I see if I have em.

Many thanks,

Hi ID welcome to the forums,

It would be unreasonable to ask us to start naming random tunes we believe to be of worth because there simply is too many, why dont you start by listing some of your more rarer titles?

You could also check on Discogs.

Discogs would be your best bet, but ebay is good as well. I would assume tracks that have reached "Anthem" status would not be as vauleble as tracks that didnt reach the limelight that should have.

Thx NeXuS,

Yh sorry I thought after I wrote it, that asking for every1 to name records would be a bit much. Im not exactly sure which 1's are rare either, but I will list a few I suppose could be quite sought after.

Toy Town - Dj Hixxy & Mc Sharky - Essential Platinum PLUK 001
Forever/yes, yes & er yes - Dj Hixxy & Bananaman - PLUK 008
??? - 4AM - Was told this 1 was rare back when I use to play it- vinyl code RAR-A 222
6 days/most uplifting - Dj Brisk rmx - Remix/Kniteforce recs - KF 0030
Take me Away - Jimmy J & CRU-L-T - Remix Rec 003
In Effect rmx's - Slipmatt/Sy, unknown + temptation - Slammin Vinyl 009
You are the one/Lets do it - Red alert and Mike slammer - clear vinyl RAR007
Feel so Real/Walking on Sunshine - Red alert and Mike slammer - PICTURE DISK RAR 008
Ravers Choice 2,4 - Dj Vibes
Love of my Life - Dougal
I want to be forever - Jimmy-J & CRU-L-T - ltd 2000 copies and signed by Jimmy-J
99 red balloons - Jimmy-J & CRU-L-T
Juicy Cuts vol.1 ltd 500 copies
Cheddar 3 and Cheddar 4( (I remember trying to get cheddar 4 for a long time, was never going to be released finally got release on Fusion No.5)
Let the bass kick/Sudden Impact - SY & UNKNOWN - Impact 031
Piano Confusion/Piano Ommision/Piano Progression rmx - LUNA-C - Knite Force Recs 031
Rave is a Mystery/Want your love - DJ Vibes and Wishdokta - Asylum 005

Ok there are some, I have quite a few more. They are all in mint condition and all in original cases. They worth anything these days?
So many great memories from when I used to rave to these tunes, I will find it very interesting to read any feedback. Its good to see the Hardcore scene is still in action :)

Thanks alot for your help every1. Done my research on discogs with some interesting results. Some of them are worth possibly 15-20 quid. Most go for about a fiver. Whilst I was on there I put in some of my old drum and bass records and to my surprise a couple are worth 60 quid each!!! I switched to jungle/dnb in 96 after falling in love with basslines, hence while my happy collection ends in 96 lol. Been buying dnb ever since. Happy hardcore will always have a place in my heart, have some quality memories.

BTW NeXuS did you get your name from a comp game called "Nexuiz" by any chance?

Looking at that list it might be an idea to sell them as a collection rather than individual.

If you work out a total price I would possibly buy them from you as i'm always looking to add to my collection.

Because of discogs.com, Hardcore vinyl is alot more widely available than it used to be and as such has very little value anymore (few quid for most releases).
