wtf? you can't confirm this over the phone!
you can screen for influenza a and if the person is positive for it then they need to have a sample sent off to a specialized lab to test for the h1n1 strain.

Tbh, that's the most dangerous thing about this "pandemic". People could have a genuinely grave condition, but as the media have hyped it up to such a degree, their first assumption would be swine flu. Their assumptions are then confirmed by a secretary over the phone with no medical training, they are issued the medicine required to treat the condition they think they have, whilst potentially a more serious condition could go un noticed until it's too late. WTF?
I'm a 19 year old lad with 3 bloody G.C.S.Es and i can figure that shit out, surely the people who put this over-the-phone diagnosis into action can see it's flaws too?

i suppose their just doing it to free up gp's and a&e, so their just fireing out the antivirals, in a way its good then the gp's and hospitals are able to cope with other conditions which are alot more serious. when pig flu u just need a bit o bed rest and tamiflu pills and ur back on your feet in five or so days.

it shouldnt matter too much, most people can get over it without any drugs whatsoever people who take tamiflu are wuss's who need to get out and play in the dirt more
keep shoving pills into themselves without letting there body take a beating naturally are going to have pussy immune systems :P

Also some say, that the first wave of a pandemy is often very mild, so its good to waist all the ammo now that you dont need them :p
