ok this is probably a stupid question, but... how many tracks do you think have been created, counting oldschool, happy hardcore, UK, and freeform?
is there even a way to calculate it?
if I had to throw a number I would say something around 10.000 - 20.000, just guessing

Considering a fair few people have 20,000 records within those categories I think it's safe to say you're lowballing.
Not to mention the relative explosion in new producers thanks to software studios, in recent times.
I'd say well into 6 figures.

how would know which tracks to add? do you add the unsigned tracks? the random remixes and the tracks that only border on the genre? what about gabber?
this is a tough question to ask :}

Perhaps we should drop it then. There is absolutely no way of calculating "how many tracks have been created".

Find every label considered 'Hardcore' and count every tune on each one per release. The thing is there are more labels (some now died ) around that made Hardcore so we are talking thousands of tunes. Also you get ones off White labels & unreleased tunes, remixes that where never released (are we counting remixes) and extended version of tunes or album mixes.
We are talking thousands of tunes made in the last 20 years.
