Not just any floppy drive, but a 3.5 inch drive! Suitable for 1.44 MB floppies! That's storage for over 2000 .txt files!
I keep it around as one of those "just in case" tools. You never know. If it ever dies though, it won't be getting replaced.

TBH, id just get rid of the speaker shelves and make small speaker stands. It just takes a lot of space and doesn't look "right". Cabinets below desk level aren't good to use, id use only drawers below desk, and cabinets above. Id raise the computer a little bit from the ground, otherwise you will be cleaning it a lot more often.
