Hi guys, this is my first post. I would appreciate your help in naming the following tune, taped from a happy hardcore show from around 1997. Quality isnt good, the tape is slowing erasing!Added them to Rapdishare, you can download it (1mb) from the following links, click free user.I know its awkward, dont know how to add clips to this!
First tune is a beautiful piano-y track with the sample of a bird / whale singing added in!

hmm, the whale/bird sounds suggest to me that it might be by Saturnalia - who seemed to do a few "greenpeace" inspired songs
but the piano seems damn close to Sharkey - Revolution (Part 1).....could be a remix of that?

I think this is two tracks playing together. The piano is playing Tears Run Cold.

By what you described is does sound like a saturnalia track, possibly We need a Blue sky on Fusion records, but I'd have to hear it first to be sure

..could be License To Party / You've Got Me Jumpin!....i dont have those on vinyl :/

Very difficult without hearing the soundclip
The only other idea I have is "dis one" by digital illusion on united dance elite. This has whale sounds, and has a very similar style piano to tears run cold (as someone has mentioned this above). Tears run cold and dis one were both done in the vital elements recordings style, as was the remix of devotion so don't know why they ended up on other labels.
I loved the Demo and Digital illusion stuff on vital elements, and dis one is right up there, so if this isn't the track you're looking for it's definately one worth adding to your collection :-)

That wasn't bad without hearing a sound clip was it? ;-)
Just listened to your sound clip DJTriquatra I can confirm that it is definately "Dis One". The sound quality is shocking though is't it? ;-)
I actually did a studio mix of the vital elements stuff a while ago, I'll see if I can dig it our and post it on here.
Embarassing to say I did a studio mix, I hate them as to me it's cheating, but I was deckless for a few months so had no choice :-(

Revolutions is another great track. Just learnt how to play this on the piano. I'm one of those people where it has to sound exact, so has taken me a while. Been teaching myself loads of piano lines. One I'm most proud of is Piano Progression/obsession. I've heard a few attempts that sound similar but pretty sure I've got it exact.
Has anyone who tries to play hardcore piano lines noticed that a lot of the time it's done with a detuned piano. Piano's are normally at 440Hz, but a lot migrate from this range. Makes it sound good though :-)

Your title says you want the id of 2 tunes so what's the other one? The soundclip reposte by DJTriquatra only has one track on, and I can't listen to yours

I did do an oldskool studio mix as well so may as well stick that on here if I can remember where I uploaded all my other stuff to.
When I say oldskool, I'm talking 92 ish
Oh, and I did an edited 30 min version for a mates wedding so can stick that on aswell ;-)
I think they're the only studio mixes I did, I'll have a look.
The software is actually a cool bit of kit as lets you cut and paste stuff, so can edit the tracks to your hearts content. Only trouble is it take you so much longer to compile a mix, not like doing it on your 1210's in realtime, and I just don't have the patience ;-) (excep when I'm deckless of course, which will hopefully never happen again :-/)
Does bug me though that some people use this sort of stuff and then pass themselves off as DJ's.

Hammy, have a look on discogs, got about 10 copies of Dis one for sale, from as litle as £2.50. Absolute bargain :-)
