I want to but a domain, but I'm not sure what kind of web site I'd like to have. Gimme some ideas D:
I also don't know how I'll be able to promote the damn site.

back in the days before we got myspaz or facebök, people who wanted to get out used to get webspaces like geocities or angelfire. Ocationally someone bought a domain for the same reason.
Get something that's generic, and you could always have more projects than 1!
I my main website is about my mixes, but I also got some small projects like PHP scripting like a gamelist and arecordlist

Why are you planning on spending money on a domain just for the sake of owning one.
Its like me saying 'Im going to buy a sewing machine cause they look cool, but i dunno what to do with it or what you use it for'

I was going to make my own site, or learn to make to be exact. Got a domain, now, 3 years later its still empty (apart from random files ive shared on forums). I say make the website first, then find a domain/host that matches your needs.

Because it's only $1.99 a month, and I'm going to put in a lot of planning before I get one, hence why I made this topic.
