Not sure where to post this but I have sampled a 1997 Gabber tune and here is the bassdrum I made. Let me know what you think as the 2010s will be full of tunes with bassdrums like this!

I dislike it, doesn't sound hard enough and it just sounds, well... old? I don't think 2010 will be full of songs like this if I'm to be honest

So have you just cut the kick from the tune and done nothing with it? There is nothing wrong with doing that and using it in a tune but did it really need a topic devoted to it? heh.

At least there isn't a youtube video I suppose. ;)

Don't worry I have big ideas! I have a few other bassdrums I sampeld and changed a bit. Here is the tune I sampled. It's a 1997 classic!

My tune will be a bit different to this in the end...

That's a pretty awful kick tbh mate. Either sample another or find some 909 samples, add this http://www.camelaudio.com/camelcrusher.php and hey presto, Bouncy Techno

Sampled kicks are usually really bad for gabber.

You can get away with a sampled kick in most hardcore but generally not for gabber.

In gabber the kick often gets pitched and high passed all over the place so samples don't work nearly as well as synthesized kicks.
