much hardcore the same really.. pick and mix from everywhere. if i were to say 'get gammer', then you'd be looking for all his tunes and nothing else...

'fraid i cant really help there as the whole electro-hardcore stuff isnt really my style - more of a freeform guy myself

I'd say if you've got direct drives (preferably Technics) then I'd say start learning to scratch now. To scratch well doesn't happen overnight, and takes a lot of time and effort. Don't neglect the beat mixing obviously, but I think putting some time aside to scratch would be a good idea, if you're ultimately wanting to scratch that is. I think it'll get you used to manipulating the vinyl and then when you come to beatmixing you can just worry about listening to the beats rather than what you're doing with the vinyl. If I was you I would take the time and effort to learn every scratch technique properly. I wish I'd done it this way, but I had no advice.
As for decent tracks that's really hard as it's all about taste. Have a look at the charts at some online record stores and listen to the sound clips and decide what style you like. If I was to recommend stuff I'd recommend stuff from the mid 90's, to me this is when Happy Hardcore was at its best. I love early hardcore, ie early 90's, but this is more complicated to mix.
