Hi,

So I was wondering where I can get oldskool tunes digitally. I don't want to buy any Vinyls as they may cost a lot, or may not be in good condition etc etc and yeah I want to mix the songs on the CDJs. I know there's a lot of tunes on the KFA site but I also want tracks from other labels. Any idea ? Is there some onlinestore or something ? Or do you think I can buy the tracks directly off the producers ?

There are a number of CD's you can buy with unmixed hardcore tracks on.

You could always grab some Hardcore Breaks too if you haven't already. Most of that is available digitally.

Hmm I'll check it out, but I'm not sure to find the track I want. But thanks!

To be honest, I don't really like Hardcore Breaks. There's some nice tracks but I listen to it just for fun here and there. I think it's too slow. I prefer Breakbeat Hardcore :)

Sounds like your talking about early Happy Hardcore.

Check out CD compilations on ebay as there were quite a few unmixed collections in the early to mid 90's.

There is some stuff on Trackitdown (Homegrown). Slipmatt has put some Universal & Awesome stuff up on itunes. Unfortunately there is no one stop solution.

Ah that surprises me a bit then as it's essentially new Oldskool Hardcore... Or are you looking for Happy Hardcore?

Have you ever listened to Nu-Skool Breaks? You might like that. Quite a variety of Oldskool, Electro, DnB and Hip Hop sounding stuff all mashed up. It's slower than Breakbeat Hardcore but worth checking out as it's a bit more get up and go that Hardcore Breaks.

Yeah yeah I know what that is, it's not bad :)

But I was looking for Oldskool Breakbeat & Happy Hardcore.

Well I was looking for those tunes :

Field Of Dreams - Force & Styles
Forever Young ( Rave Mix ) - ?
Elysium + - Scott Brown
About U - Ham & DNA
Starry Night - Hixxy
Hardcore Til I Die - Hixxy
Together Forever (Evolve remix) - Hixxy & Bananaman
Rush Hour (Vinylgroover Remix) - Magical
Time After Time (Vinylgroover Remix) - Cindy Lauper
Not a Problem - Bertie
Paradise - Ruffage
Release Your Love - Spirit Of Space Ep
Captain Of This Ship - Ratpack
Like a Shooting Star ( Hixxy Remix ) - Bang!
Sailaway ( Trixxy Remix ) - Bang!
Oblivion - Bang!
Have It All - Triple J

I actually have most of them but they're mixed, I have downloaded some of them unmixed but I'd like to buy them now :)

Hardcore Happiness series, and Happy Hardcore Anthems series are some for starters. There's many more but I'd have to check through my collection (Have all the tracks on vinyl now which is much better)
To be honest though, these are slightly earlier than you are looking for. Field of Dreams etc were a couple of years later and there weren't as many unmixed CD's then, more compilations.

I recommend buying some 1210's and vinyl and DJing properly ;-) lol.
More expensive, but way more rewarding :-)

Which forever young are you referring to?

Off the top of my head I can only think of one actually called forever young, and this was sunset regime I think, possibly with the help of Ramos.
The big Anthem that people called "forever young" was actually called "I wanna be forever" and was by Jimmy J and Cru-l-t. This was on limited edition vinyl. I have a copy :-)

A remix of Interactive - Forever Young no doubt. Got a few mixes myself but not a rave mix I don't think. I wanna be forever is a remix of this.
