im gettin to a point where im obessed wit inspiration.
like ive gone the last 4days without messin wit music cause i have no inspiration to do it.
jus to do my algebra II homework i had to listen to sum classic daft punk tunes to find inspiration to do it.
what are some ways u find/get inspiration?

Drugs. Thats not what I do, but look at the Beatles. Took LSD and made the Yellow Submarine movie.

don't worry so much about it, 4 days of no inspiration are nothing
some artists may have entire years of creative emptiness, so don't feel like its the end of the world
what I do is basically sit down and try to make a song, even if you don't like what you are doing, doesnt matter, the important thing is to be there, working and thinking in the music, and when you less expect it, inspiration will strike you like a thunder
in other cases when I feel i have absolutely no ideas, not even bad ideas, then I just left the music thing alone for some days, or acouple of weeks... eventually the inspiration always returns
I don't remember who said it, but is a nice quote:
"inspiration only rewards those who work hard..."
or something like that

the drug thing is a whole other debate but *cough...Ray Charles, Elvis, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, Motly Crue, Curt Kobain, eminem, just to name one from different era's and styles but i mean comoooon. almost every inovative, ground breaking musician/band is/are on drugs...Kiss is the only exception i know of, and Gene's addicted to Sex.
oh i dont do drugs btw (unless u count weed and uh, its not really, at least not where im from) tried a bunch for a while, but not my thing really.
now to the question at hand.
enjoy your break. whenever i run out of inspiration i take a break on purpose from Hardcore. never taken more than a week before i have an itch to listen to some, and then BOOM its like how did i get tired of this!?
if you mean in general though, i always look to the top of the game. makin music, listen to the mastermind of the genre. playing sports, pull up a montage of the best plays. about to rock a crowd and not into it, watch some woodstock footage or some big concert. watch MJ rock the stage. i always look to the best for inspiration because if the best dont do it, your in trouble

well thats just silly. lol how big headed do you have to be to get frustrated that you cant perfrom like MJ, or shoot like steve G, or paint like van goh.

the last time I got inspiration was in 2006..
I never try to find inspiration, cuz I think it comes by itself..

sometimes u might be putting too much effort in and nothings going right in which case just take a break and go back to it the next day or whenever and normally i feel more refreshed and i seem to work better :)
also dont get distracted and just focus on what u r doing
