Hands down the scariest dream I ever had happened a few years ago. It was a warm summer morning when I woke up. In my dream I could smell a disgusting smell in the air, and out of my bedroom window I could hear laughing. A real sinister laugh. The smell and laughter got louder so I walked towards my window then all of a sudden a dirty trampy dwarf appeared in the window. He was bouncing up and down outside my widow laughing at me. I was so scared in my dream that I woke myself up. The next part was just as scary though, I couldn't move when I woke up because I had my first attack (if that's the right word) of sleep paralysis. Sleep Paralysis terrifies me to this day and I've never known anyone else to have it
It still gives me goose bumps now when I think about it.

Sleep paralysis is relatively common i think, i know people who have it/have had it. Unless you just mean people you know personally?

ack, ive had that too, but only once
it was absolutely the worst experience ever i think
i had just fallen asleep, and the next thing i know my eyes were wide open and the room was dull-lit in an orangey colour from a lava lamp that was left on and all i could sense was there was something really evil in the room - tried to get up, couldnt....had to try and pry myself up and it was really really really painful to do - like someone had strapped my chest to the bed

I have a friend who can rarely sleep without medication. If she does manage to get to sleep, she has nightmares every time. Of a guy holding a knife to her and raping her.

you've mentioned that before. isn't this the same friend who was actually sexually molested?
and yea it's not exactly a nightmare but if i trip in a dream i instantly wake up from it and just shake, as if i'm about to fall off my bed. it's weird too because what i remember from it is that i'm just walkin and then i suddenly lose my footing.

oh, did I? forgot. hmm, yeh it was. If I ever found out who did it, I'm gona rip the bastards dick off and feed it to his dog. I never really comprehended the effects of rape until i met her. I still dont, really.
But back on topic. Yeh, falling. Its pretty much a bitch.

The weirdest dream I had involved me ****ing a dolphin. :| And that was when I was only 8 or something...
The worst dream I've had happened a few years ago. The scene is my bedroom some time in the afternoon, and everything is normal, I'm playing F-Zero GX on my gamecube. The phone rings and I pick it up, and someone starts talking, but I can't hear them because I suddenly get extreme tinnitus. External light dissapears from the room in a way that makes it look like a cloud is just rolling over, but when I reel around to the window, it's night time and for some reason I can't see anything outside my window except for some of the neighbor's house. Then the TV goes off and the BGM from the game starts repeating over and over as if it's crashed.
I run over in a panic to try and turn it off but it just won't. The gamecube all of a sudden makes this horrible sound like it just shattered the disc inside into microscopic particles and shuts off. Then a 3D lamp I had at the time (like this one, except for the external cage thing, not to mention it was solid blue) starts spinning like crazy and I get this indescribably horrible feeling in my gut, like satan himself is in the room or something. In the background I hear the garage door open. The contrast of the lighting gets a lot deeper in appearance, and the nightlight in the hall goes out (and if I recall correctly, at the beginning of the dream, my bedroom door was closed).
I flip out and run into the closet, try to stop from running into the wall and grab some clothes in the process, and do a pratfall. When I hit the floor I hear this cracking sound. I start screaming and then the tinnitus comes back. Then the power shuts off, and for what feels like ten minutes lying there on the ground in the dark, unable to get up, getting more terrified by the minute, I can hear the power strips from the kitchen and my mom's bedroom beeping constantly. Not to mention I can't move or feel anything below my neck. I feel some liquid puddling up underneath my head but I don't know what it is. Then I hear this sparking sound and one of the beeping sounds goes away. A few minutes later I can hear what sounds like fire.
I'm able to move my head far enough to see my battery-powered alarm clock sitting on the shelf and it reads 2:56 in the morning. I keep staring at it for a while until it reads 3:31 in the morning and the sound of the fire is really loud. Then the display changes to 88:88 for a second then shuts off. At the same time the beeping from the other strip goes turns a single, continuous tone. The tone gradually degrades for a few minutes before it sounds like a dying cat. Now the fire sound is sounds even closer but there's no light anywhere, not even a temperature difference. For a little bit I start hearing these cracking sounds, and then a small chunk of the ceiling collapses, bringing flaming wood and embers down. Then I start screaming my head off.
About a minute later the other strip finally stops making that sound, and by now I'm also horrified and terrified out of my mind. Finally I wake up and, apparently having rolled onto my side, slam my head into the wall really hard. Kind of suffered insomnia for a few days after that.

yowser.
i had the same dream (again) about aliens.
never abducted..i just keep seeing them, in the corner of the room...or outside..
typical "grey" aliens, but they are only two to two and a half feet tall..
this time in my dream my mum confirmed that she had seen them as well..
