We have Presale figures for last week and already over half of all the copies of HU4 in existence have been sold before they even reach the stores (via pre-orders etc). This really is going to be hard to get hold of if you don't pre-order online or get to stores as soon as possible. Please don't leave it too late, trust me, you will like it!

wait wait wait...no no no, this doesnt make any sense
...there isnt a random slag on the front
how is this selling!?!?!?!??!!?!?!?!!
EVERYBODY knows you HAVE to have a slag on the front in order to sell a cd

maybe some of the big twatty companys can take a page out of HU's book
i seriously hope that someone from MOS/AATW looks at this and starts to take shit seriously
then again...i hope they dont, at the moment HU has absolutly no competition
long live HU :D

You mean the cover art released before is the finished article, not to be replaced by a suspect looking bird?
*Cancels pre-order*

Did anyone see a Fast and the Furious blu-ray box set that came out in limited edition recently? I think it said you could "pimp your box set" by attatching magnets etc? I haven't actually seen one properly, just noted it online, still.....
...perhaps we should have had some of those transparant adhesive thingies supplied to allow people to customise the artwork to taste. That would be quite elite/cost prohibitive/amusing. Damn constraints imposed by reality
Obviously *I* would probably just use this so I could stick photos of myself all over the front cover.
( I'd see a therapist if I could afford one. Fracus probably needs it more tho )

You mean that in 2 years I could sell my copy for a fortune?
... Not that I would ever do that, though.
Maybe.

"You mean that in 2 years I could sell my copy for a fortune?"
Moreso if it's sealed. Smart people will therefore by two, and keep one sealed.

since there are limited amounts available, you should do some limited edition versions too and sell them online or something ;)

...or on a more cynical note, pretend they're limited, add a few quid to the price and hope nobody compares their copy with anyone else!

make the album cover shiny or holographic or something, or with a colour variation =D like the bonkers albums. but since these albums are going to be hard to get hold of anyway, why not add a few rarer ones so they'll be 100% more valuable :P

Simple answer? Economies of scale.
When it comes to manufacturing things like this, and especially "novelty" or complex variants, the tooling cost is immense. The only way to make it viable, is to spread that cost between as many units as possible. This is how we *just* about scrape by on justifying our "normal" packaging.
So, doing even 50 limited edition units could run a cost approaching 5 figures.
Not viable ;)
