In Photoshop, is there a way to set the exact dimensions for a selection (if you're unsure as to what I'm talking about, I mean the 'marching ants')? As in, once I've made a selection, change the dimensions of the selection to a specific size (like 100x100)?
Help appreciated. The only related info I can find in support and online is setting specific dimensions for cropping...!

u mean u want to make the item bigger or smaller? you should be able to right click the item and look at the options. at least that's how indesign works, and photoshop and indesign are very similar

The closest option available is transform selection, but it only allows you to scale the image by a percentage (100%), not by actual, specific size (100px).

only option is to copy it to clipboard, and open a new document, paste it in there, then resize it in there... then chuck it back across...
