Due to my misses making me show her all the Skin head/Hooligan/gangster films i own and she seemed to really like the hooligan films so i was just wondering what are your views on the football hooligan scene?
Most English poeple will know that The Firm has been "Re-made" so it must show that the public still want to see that kind of thing.
These forums have always struck me as mostly intelligent laid back people but i know there are a few "Thugs" amongst us lol ;)
So would be nice to know your opinions on the whole Hooligan thing and the fact that they make films gloryfieing it...?
Also a nice way to plug one of my videos to help push it over the 500,000 mark hahaha ;)

I think alot of "Hooligans" would say that they only go round kicking peoples heads in who are there for the same thing. Like they dont go battering innocent bystanders just other football fans who are there for a ruck aswell.

some people would class me as a hooligan actually.. just because im going in town with a group of people nd when certain groups come round its fight time. fair nuff.. we do love our fights with em bastards. if its beeing a hooligan.. doubt it really.. define wot ya really mean wif hooligans.. i dun believe there are actually hardcore hooligans just because some are acting tough nd batterin ya head on the sidewalk for looking at em. hooligan to me is more of a football term. people that are not interrested in the game just in fighting.

meh - doesnt bother me that they are making films "gloryfing" it. basically people who are into that stuff will want to watch a movie like that - other who arent will just ignore it - or watch it and think its a pile of crap
i dont see anyone who isnt a "hooligan" watching it and then going "wow that looks wicked cool" and then going out and becoming one - just like i wouldnt expect anybody watching or playing video games to go out and try and play halo or half life for real.
obviously the whole hooligan thing is a dark mark on england, along with the chavs, but most countrys have their black sheep.

Or show how one dimentional a director Tim Love is...
I have no problem with the films other than the fact they have been rinsed to death and always seem to feature the same cast, mainly Danny Dyer.

Belive me alot of people try to be like that, its shocking to see how many "Country folk" and "Rich kids" get mummy and daddy to buy them stone island etc so they can be like the people in the films.
I currently live in a small town just outside of Stoke (i wont go into reasons why i had to move back here for a while) and since Stoke got promoted every single 16-30 year old male is suddenly a Stoke fan (it's not even in Stoke-On-Trent) and thinks they're part of the "Naughty 40" it's shocking anoying and slightly sad tbh....

im very split on this
i think if its no weapons, equal numbers, has a form of restraint (eg once a man down let im up rule or somethin) stays out of the public eye, everyone is older than 18 AND everyone is a true fan of their respective team, and always has been then....ya go for it lol id maybe jump in for a lil tilly.
it doesnt really exsist of here though, but we have teams we dont like..Columbus, Montreal for example. if a bunch of guys from there supporter groups wanna little fair tussle, then ya id maybe throw one or two ;)
...worst part is i could easily break down every argument i just used, and point out their flaws but..oh well
