just like 1994/1995 when you had breakbeats along side kicks and dutch hard kicks a little later. this sound HAS to come back im sorry, no one is doing this sound. it's all boring now. every tune ive heard today sounds the same.
breakbeats + kicks and offbeat claps @ 180 beats per minute. ****ing right on! who agrees though?
i know there's some stuff CLSM did but it's not enough, big name producers need to change their mindset. why have they put old sounds to one side, when you just cannot avoid thinking about it in this stale state and mess of a scene. !?¬

The phrase 'here we go again' comes to mind.
I like the old skool stuff. That what got me into hardcore but times have moved on.
No big name producers will make somthing that will lose them money. If you dont like it then go to raves with an old skool room.

I listen to music with breakbeats most of the time, not a big fan of it alongside 4/4 kicks tho anymore

I agree although the style IS being made by a lot of producers. I've started to make that style of music myself too. Check out my latest mix I posted today: http://www.happyhardcore.com/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=47251l this is all stuff released recently (with the odd track being a couple of years old) believe it or not.

first of all.. Fail. it most defently hasn't moved on, it still sounds like the hardcore from 2005. smoogie's right you know.

You can do breakbeat, I can do hard kicks, Sharkey & the boys can do their Freeform & Darren Styles can do his softcore and there will be something for everyone! If the scene aint going forwards then it can go erm backwards!
Im all for veritity so why not make some Old Skool breakbeat if the top guys are still making Old Skool Clubland? Some artists (and memebers fo this forum) have made some very good breakbeat tunes and if it was popular then it would be now and in the future!
Also has anyone heard any Dutch breakbeat tunes? It wasn't just us English who made it. Even a Scott Brown himself broke all the rules and made a breakbeat tune belive it or not lol
