right, my mates talked non stop about this shit. its better looking to get a 50cc multi gear bike than a scooter.

one of my mates had a yamaha TZR-50, and it ran well.

another of my mates had an aprillia RS, and it broke... he drve it for about 200 miles before they engine seized...

another one of my mates had an older kawasaki motorcycle. ran very well for its age, and sounded the part, too! he had an AR50, BEAST!

50cc can get you up to 90... you just need to make sure its not limited. i think thats easy to unlimit tho.. something in the exhaust apparently...

I've owned bikes since i was about 12. Owned between 40-50 all varying from 50cc to 400cc. i still got a 50 at my parents. Yamaha BWS 50. Fully tuned & does about 65mph. Earlier in the year i sold a Honda VFR400 (NC30) & a Yamaha RD125LC which was tuned by Stan Stephens & had top speed of almost 110mph.
