Now im a big Final Fantasy geek and i mean BIG and i know a few people here are *Cough* Influx *Cough* and just wanted to start a thread on your favourite FF pieces. Since pretty much every piece of music in all the games iv played are superb.
I have a mate who's pretty much obsessed with FFVIII (he even has the sleeping lion heart ring, which i have to explain to girls we meet is a mystical oriental thing before he starts going on about Squall lol) who can play pretty much every piece from it on the piano, pretty immense hey :P
So anyway il start us off
From FFVII
Ascension to Cosmo Canyon by far my favourite piece ever....
BUT this "Remix" of it is just purely sublime i even have it on my phone...But shhh dont tell my gf's ;)
And just for fun Zack Kim playing the chocobo theme on 2 guitars lol
So any favourite pieces from the FF series?

I do like Final Fantasy but there is looooads of RPG's I prefer. The music is top notch though. I know what my favourite piece is but no idea what it's called. :P It was on Final Fantasy X I think and it wasn't one of the main pieces. I left a save point at it actually as I wanted to remix it but never got round to it.
That Ascension to Cosmo Canyon is awesome.

really? is that why they all rate outrageously high from every notable company that reviews them? and also why they sell MILLIONS of copies worldwide? I have yet to see a "cop out" final fantasy game... especially when you consider how much work goes into each one. Perhaps you should actually research how many people are involved in each one, or perhaps, watch the credits at the end of a game? because let me tell you, they go for like 15 minutes.
