I'll be moving to Germany in January and I was curious to ask if there was anyone on this forum who knows/is a hardcore fan/s in Germany?

Its going to be pretty rough for me getting to know people before I commence uni over there, as i'm moving from Australia - its a massive move.

So how do people feel about making friends with a funky, feisty 23 year old raver with a passion for Hardcore, Art History, and the German Language? ... anyone?

Also, are there any decent hardcore parties in Germany or surrounding areas that people might like to accompany me to?

A guy called DJ Rush or something like that played at Uproar and I'm sure he was from Germany too. Must be something of a Hardcore scene there I guess.

I think they're more into their Hard Trance and Schranz though.

Aww... so much support! And here i was thinking i was going to be completely ridiculed!!

^_^ I'll be in Regensburg, but as i said i'll be there for a whole year, so i think i can afford to trek outwards throughout the year, and certainly with the support of other people I will feel more confident to do so.

dang hahaha quite a trip from there to my place in the netherlands ;) but if ya there for a year ill keep u posted about some nice gigs round ere :) can always traffel nearby the dutch border but still in germany ;) Q-BASE! :) certainly a nice event ;) if ya wish to traffel a lil for it ill keep ya posted :)

Don't forget to come to England :> I think i've only actually ever seen one or 2 people from Germany post on this site, which is odd considering how big Hardcore was there compared to other countries that people post from.

I visited London for 2 nights in December of 2007 - great fun, but HELLISHLY EXPENSIVE. Oh man. It was really unbelievable how expensive everything was.

I don't know how much travelling i'll be able to afford when I come over, but i will be in for the long haul, so i think i can make exceptions for seriously good hardcore parties.

Regensburg...oh my...that's not the heart of German Hardcore scene, I can tell you :D Hamburg has HHC events regullarly. I think it's best you check out this forum for further party dates:

As far as I can remember, this site is hosted by the guys from Ultravibes. So there must be something suitable for you. ;)

Yeah London centre is stupidly expensive. Raves in London though do not suffer the same level of inflation as the rest of the city though so it's ok. London is as stupidly expensive for you as it is for everyone else who lives outside of it.
