Any of you bought any of them yet...??

So far iv watched
Russell Howard
Jimmy Carr
and michael mcintyre.

Russell howard
Absolutly brilliant my favourite so far not even that much stuff from mock the week or his bbc 3 show. Would say it was better than his first dvd aswell...

Jimmy Carr
The usual from jimmy VERY offensive and hilarious. Also contains the most offensive joke of all time and even I felt guilty for laughing my arse off haha, worth it though lol.

Michael Mcintyre
Really funny and im a big fan of his but i dont think it could stand a chance next to his first dvd which was pure genius. Was still a good watch though :)

Also got Johnny Vegas and the Mighty Boosh but havent watched those yet. And do plan to buy a few more next dole day haha. I defo wanna get Dave Spikey and Jason Manford's cause i do like the northen comedy aslong as it isnt peter Kay doing it. Don't get me wrong i love his stand up work but i think saying garlic bread and t'internet has had its day now....Anyway lol

So have you bought any of them? If so which ones?
Give your reviews on THIS years stand up DVD's....

I'm thinking about getting Michael MacIntyre's DVD for my brothers xmas. I know he'll like it, and I can watch it when he's done with it. An indirect present to myself, if you like :p.

Can't really say I'm a fan of Jimmy Carr. I like controversial comedy, but I just think he's a bit of a prick, really.

no, i havent bought any - and im a massive fan of good comedy.

sadly most the comedians that seem to get those christmas dvds really arent my cup of tea

Peter Kay...yeah no, annoying northern voice
Johnny Vegas ...see above (again haha)
that pub landlord guy....ugh..just ughh
jimmy carr...always sounds heavily scripted like he wrote everything down before hand
russell howard, has managed to say some funny things, but it really does sound like he's repeating what he saw on the internet..plus on "mock the week" he just seems to repeat what he says in his stand up...like he just made it up...just then!...ugh
michael mcintyre - should be a flappy south park canadian (no offense to canadians) his voice also annoys me.

who else have i seen on the asda value christmas shelf...hmmm
roy chubby brown...isnt really funny, and he doesnt even insult or offend me..
jethro...ugh
mike reed - my wife tells me he is one of those value christmas...im not sure who he is but from what she tells me he sounds pretty crap too

i think above all.. the above come off as smug

back on track though, ones i would pick up

Eddie Izzard...
Rob Brydon (did a pretty good job on one of the "live at the apollo" on DAVE)...

im sure there are others.....ummm...

**okay, if anybody bothered to read that over-detailed list of standups i dont like..i think ive decided that im just not into standup, im all about sketch comedy - so really its not worth getting offended or annoyed that i dont like half these doing standup**
