Are youtube vids really pirating? They're not claiming it to be their tune or providing a link for the full download, so i don't see the problem tbh. Chances are it will get you more exposure and get more people buying it. And then there's the point that someone obviously liked the track enough to want to share (not fileshare) it with other people and to upload it. If anything i'd be a little flattered, but of course it's not my track and you guys are entitled to feel a little ripped off of course.

I get what you mean mate but belive me all the little teenie boppin fans that add me all use youtube downloader to get there tunes nowadays. l/imewire is dead and buried so ripping YT videos is the new thing apparently. It doesent particularly bother me since like you said it is a bit more exposure, but would of been nice to be asked. Not like me or Bulby are hard to get hold of lol.

If someone uploaded my tune i'd be very pleased that they like it enough to do so. At the end of the day it's FREE promotion. You normally have to pay for advertising.

Hey, what people do to get their tracks isn't any of my doing though. I upload for others to listen to, then there-after buy the track. It says in all my posts when I upload videos that I would take the track down if any artist/company asked me to, and that I don't condone illegal downloading. In my profile I link to all the sites I buy my music from.
I didn't upload this track, but eh. Thought I'd at least maybe stick up for him. Not his fault is people illegally download the track off You Tube. I'd be more mad at those people, then someone that likes your track.

You'll see on my homepage that if any artist or record label wants me to remove tracks they have licenses too, I would be happy to do so. I don't. :) Not films, music, software, anything. Never used a ******* or anything like that in my life. Don't even know how. :P
I did buy a few pirate videos in my yoof mind and I do use samples from films all the time, remix things without permission etc. etc. etc. so...
Deffo happy to see someone liked it enough to bother uploading it. The guy seems sound and couldn't have been more fair really.

Lol I really dont know what to say to this....I struggle to have an opinion.
I guess the main thing is...surely nobody would rip this track off YT and use it as a DJ in a club or a mix, the quality is waaaaayyy to poor.
If you wanna throw the direct link in the comments underneath to IMO and TID then go for it, at least a few more people will see it.

Send him the IMOdownload link and ask him to stick it in the description of the track as a comprimise ;)

Though, I dread going through the 74 videos I already uploaded and adding a link to all of them.
I'm positive you can add a direct link in the description easily with no problem, as I've seen Cotts do it. The only time you can't do it is in comments, and messages to avoid spam.

I see what you mean mate. All the little thieving shits out there will be happy to rip a youtube vid even considering the piss poor quality, but, being honest, you were never gonna get a purchase out of them in the first place so in a way i guess you haven't lost anything, but your track then gets that little bit further into the public and perhaps that little bit closer to a pair of ears willing to buy it. Of course this is how i see it looking from the outside in, if it were my tune i might react a bit differently. Looks like the guy has put the link there or people to buy. Win imo
