I thought I'd show you a bit of the stuff people are producing over here, it's different than the new stuff all of you know, it's more oldskoolish I guess.
Let's start with some Breakbeat Hardcore/Jungle stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ztumlt7Nw1g For me personally this has been one of my favourite tracks for quite a long time now, I love the flow of the track and especially the vocals, I love reggae! Starts ~ @ 1:25 Also check out this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpgsujhSoa0 "Austrian DnB is some of the best | +23" Well, what the guys do over here is more some sort of Breakbeat Hardcore/Jungle/etc. But here I have some sets for you to show what is being played at clubs: This is a "good mood-mix" from one of our top DJ's/Producers: Duke ( He did all kinds of mixes actually, from Hip-Hop, to Electro House, Happy Hardcore, Frenchcore, etc. ) http://www.wicked.at/mix/djduke_hhc_gabber_und_gutelaune_mix.mp3 Tracklist: http://wicked.at/wicked_playlist.php?id=3 This here now is a Frenchcore Mix, but it's not the Frenchcore you probably know, it's different. It's also around 200-230 BPM, but it's not distorted. I really like it :) http://www.wicked.at/mix/duke_hcmix_nov2006.mp3 No tracklist for this one unfortunately, I know some of the tunes, but yeah.. :/ What I love in our stuff compared to british stuff, is the fact that the tracks are full of stuff, nobody cares how much basslines you've layerd, for the listener it will sound like a single bassline, but if you listen to the Breakbeat tracks or the Frenchcore ( especially the FC mix ) will notice some sort of roll effects, short reverse/backspins, strange noises all around the track, thousands of things everywhere, the tracks are way more complicated than what british producers make. You know, not just untz untz untz. And I think the more complicated a track is, the more it makes you crazy/the better it is! I simply love unexpected stuff and variation! Well check it out and I hope you like it ! You now have an overview of the Hardcore scene in Austria ;-) Cheers!

FIRST TRACK
lol, that's ragga jungle and definitely not even remotely breakbeat hardcore
...also the mixdown is kinda weak, vocal is too loud
SECOND TRACK
again, ragga jungle
they're not bad but definitely not what tickles my fancy
what's with all of these tracks having sirens in them? lol.

lol I don't know dude, "Breakbeat Hardcore" is a term I use to describe everything that has is about 170 BPM, has a breakbeat and is not DnB. But I said it's jungle stuff :P
Yeah vocals are too loud.
Dunno what's with the sireens haha. But I f--kng love the first one, makes me go absolutely crazy!
Also, the producers/DJs who made these tracks always play in vienna's club with the best sound system, it has actually one of the best sound systems in europe! It's extremely loud but the sound will still be crystal-clear, bass-membranes are built-in the walls, ground and ceiling! So when you got that kind of stuff playing there it's really WOW!!
Shit I love this JungleTekHardcoreDnB-stuff, it makes me gone insane!

the bassline is nothing like a breakbeat hardcore track, and the percussion isn't very breakbeat hardcore style
I'd love to go to a nice club like that. Underground musical styles usually get shitty systems here.

Hmm don't agree on that point, there are so many different styles of Breakbeat Hardcore today, Reese, Darwin and Wizbit are already 3 different styles.. some Darwin Tracks like "Ready for Love" have a DnB Bassline and Darwin tracks almost never have any beats, just cheesy drums, Reese on the other hand makes harder stuff but again he uses a DnB Reese Bassline. Wizbit is also completely different, in some of his tracks you don't even hear the bassline, it's very oldskoolish.
Yeah it's the same here actually, except this one. But don't get me confused, it's still in 'underground style', it's dirty, dark, etc etc lol.. just the sound system is extremely good, well the club itself actually. But yeah I guess the underground style just belongs to this, as its a DnB/Jungle/Hardcore club.

there's different styles but other than Darwin's more recent dnb style tracks, you think "breakbeat hardcore" right away when you hear the names you mentioned
